Needed: a sharp object that can poke holes through plastic, a plastic bottle like on used for drinking, water, a bowl
Step One: Poke about twelve holes on the bottom of the plastic bottle using the sharp object.
Step Two: Fill the bowl about halfway with water.
Step Three: Put the plastic bottle in the bowl and pour the water into the bottle until the bottle is completely filled with water.
Step Four: Quickly put the lid on the bottle and take out the bottle from the bowl. Remember to dry the bottom with a towel.
Step Five: Hold the bottle away from your body outside or over the sink. Unscrew the lid.
Step Six: Water should come out of the holes that you have poked like a fountain.
Step Seven: To make this experiment even more fun ask someone to open the bottle with holes in the bottle. When they do they will get a surprise.
Why it Works: When you unscrew the cap, air pressure comes into the bottle, pushing the water down through the holes.
Fast Fact: In the ocean, the water pressure is so much that if a human being went down into the ocean it would be crushed by all the water.
