Trees and other plants are very important. First of all, if there were no plants and trees there would be no fruits or vegetables. There would also be no food items that are made out of fruits like juice. This also means that all living things that follow a herbivorous diet would die out making it impossible for animals like cows to survive. This effect will eventually spread up the food chain causing all animals to die out eventually.
Another reason why plants are very important is because they provide oxygen for humans and other animals. This is because plants breathe in the carbon dioxide that we and other animals breathe out. The plants then use the carbon dioxide in a process to create food called photosynthesis and then let oxygen out of there stomata. This is very important because if it weren't for plants then we would've probably run out of oxygen a really long time ago and the whole atmosphere would've become made up of cabon dioxide not very much unlike Venus'es atmosphere.
The final reason why plants are important is because they prevent erosion. This is because the plant's roots keep the patch of soil in place. This helps the earth because it makes farming easier and it also prevents dust storms like the Dust Bowl in the 1930's which happened because in the Midwest there weren't that many trees planted and farmers hadn't gotten used to how to farm the Midwest soil. those are the main reasons why plants and trees are important.
