Why are Atoms and Molecules Important?

Atoms and molecules are very important. In fact they are the building blocks of the universe. Take a city for example, a city is made up of buildings. Most buildings are made up of wood and sometimes metal or steel. Wood is made up of fibers and those fibers are made up of even smaller fibers called lignin. Lignin is made up of molecules which are made up of atoms. The chain doesn't stop there atoms are made up of subatomic particles like protons, neutrons, and electrons. Even so, atoms are considered the building blocks of the universe. This means that everything  is made up of atoms and molecules, humans, animals, water, and even the air that we breathe.Even bacteria and microscopic germs are made up of atoms. All this means that if atoms didn't exist nothing would exist. As you can see, atoms and molecules are very important.
