Nikola Tesla

Do you have any idea who Nikola Tesla is? Bet not! This man is the guy who has electrified the world! Yes, you may think it was Thomas Edison but Tesla is the one who should receive all the credit. Tesla is the one who invented the AC (Alternating Currents) motor which is used world wide today. Edison invented the DC (Direct Currents) motor which is barely used today . The DC electricity is dangerous, expensive to convert voltages, and has problems earthing & gear switching. But on the other hand, AC electricity can be wired over 100 miles with no trouble, can send higher voltages, and lets you have a 3-phase system (in which the currents comes & goes and there is the earth point). Therefore, Tesla should be known as the greatest inventor of all time. His other inventions help the world in everyday life too. Some of his most important inventions include:

• The Radio
• Floresent Lights
• The AC Motor
• The Induction Motor
• The X-Ray Machine
• Wireless Communication & Transmission
• The Hydroelectric Turbine (plus he designed the first hydroelectric power plant)

Of corse, Tesla patented over a 100 inventions that were NOT STOLEN FROM OTHER PEOPLE....like some other inventor who is supposably known as the greatest inventor( initials are T.E. hint hint). Also he was a really good man because he knew Marconi was using his radio idea and getting cerdit for it. Instead he said, "Marconi is a good fellow. Let him continue. He is using seventeen of my patents." What a marvelous person.
